In Remembrance
Let me be the first to say that we should all remember the innocent lives lost nine years ago on 9/11/01. The tragedy that day was great and the losses deeply felt by many.
Not to be controversial, but truly to be repentant, please let me apologise to any and all who may have been hurt by my former, ill considered stance on the matter. Where sober second thought was not enough, still sober tertiary consideration has shown me my error and changed my outlook to the commonly accepted reality. I was a fool and I am sorry.
I humbly ask that this thread not be used as a place for debate on the issue, but for remembrance.
Peace and Love always,

Nicely Done, Xman. After only 9 years, the trauma of that event already seems diminished ... time heals wounds, but those of us who are old enough to remember should not forget the intensity of feeling and impact that event had on our lives. I fear that in the not too distant future we may have forgotten the true agony of that day and the days that followed. We DO need to remember and honor the victims and heroes of 9/11.

Thanked: 66+1...
I agree..Ill never forget the day "they" came crashing down..Woke up at 6am to go to work..turned on the TV and saw the 2 towers and 2 planes going into them..I called my dad and he said he saw the whole scenario unfold in front of him..I was a little confused being only 21 or 22years old at the time...."Why is everything going crazy"...I asked him..his reply "alot of innocent people lost their lives"...I felt sad...upset at whoever did this..I can also recall I tried to go to the gym to try to work off some stress after work..they were closed indefinitely for a week!...Hard to think about I knew people who knew people who either were on the planes or weren't..knew people who were in the buildings and who didn't go into work that day..my prayers and heart goes out to those who have lost/mourned/those who still wonder what really happened and those chose to go on with their lives..YOU WILL ALL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!

A lot of confusion followed the event - it was so shocking and tragic
And still is when I think about it. Much has changed since then. I hope more complete understanding of what happened improves unity and helps prevent events like it from happening again

Yesterday and today in SOTD are some posts.
I wrote, that my son was in this time in CA as an exchange student.
It was a deep impression. We understood in this time what it means:
We stand together!
We never forget all the victims and the heros!

May all who died that day rest in peace. May all their families, friends and loved ones have strength to carry on despite their horrible loss.
