    Smile hobbies

OK Gents, tell me to pull my head in if you think I`m too nosey, but what other hobbies and passtimes do you get up to appart from keeping the great tradition of straight razor shaving alive
For myself I enjoy building and flying remote controlled model aircraft, both powered and gliders it is challenging, but at the same time it has quite a relaxing effect . There is nothing better sitting up on a cliff top with a couple of mates and the obligortory rum and coke piloting the model that you constructed around the skies wind in your face , perfect view etc etc.(unless you crash),thats a bummer
I also enjoy knife making ,fixed blades and also lock back folders. Like many I started doing it for myself beacuse I couldn`t purchase a decent knife at a reasonable price. Then of course family and friends want one and so it goes. We have moved into a new home ,and after 48 years I have purpose built the workshop that I have always wanted.
Target shooting has been one of my enjoyments since I was ten yrs old, both pistol and rifle, however our bloody useless govement is making it harder and harder to enjoy that passtime.
Collecting is another hobby of mine,I collect old tools ,knives (both fixed blade and multi-blade pocket knives) old Australian coins and stamps.
And now ,much to my wifes dissmay, vintage straight razors, within approx three months I now have about seven that I recon are good, I have also chucked out about four cheep and nasties that I aquired before I new any better. I also have a brand new zeepk(bad luck) that has been chucked in the bottom of a draw somewhere ( should I try to sharpen it for use ?)
At the moment my cheese and kisses (ausie for misses) wants a new vegie garden ,(Bloody hell I have already put one in) and the place painted inside and out. Just because I got a new workshop and machinery. I`m starting to think that for the rest of my life I will be reminded of the fact and wont have any time to spend in there, I guess time will tell.
I hope you all have a good day
    Kind regards Peter

Hi Peter... I work out, play some basketball, camp/hike, read (got 400 books, most of which I've read 2-5 times), have the occasional poker night and since I'm relatively young and absolutely single go clubbing and chasing after women of questionable moral fiber. As for shooting, I've only shot at a target with a 7,62 TT and only shot at a live creature (a porcupine that was eating my stepdad's brakelines, 1- 22 caliber shot kill) once. Used to play volleyball and compete in martial arts (tae kwon do) .

Well, I consider it to be a kind of a duty while I'm still single. After I become m-worded, I'll have to quit that habit. One woman is more than enough trouble for me to try to complicate the situation with additions

Before I started law school, I used to have hobbies... I have a couple of gliders, and love to shoot as well. I use to do alot of inventing, and making things by hand... I can not wait to be done with school... I want my life back! =(

I enjoy guns of all types, I have shot and owned many. I also am very active with conealed carry rights, and work to further that as well as other 2nd amendment related causes. I was into martial arts for years, everything from akido to thai boxing, but since I travel all week, and my body has aged some I stopped training. I would like to get back to it in more of a hobby sort of way in the future though. I used to be a competitive powerlifter but now I just go to the gym enough to keep myself from getting too fat (and Im not sure if thats even working). Another hobby is food, I love to cook and I enjoy dining at independent restaurants throughout the US and other parts of the world. I am now officially addicted to SRP, so that takes up quite a bit of my time lol. I also collect watches and jackets although I am really trying to cut down on that. I think that is about it...

Another shooter here. I've been reloading and shooting since '71. Pistols range from .32 1910 Mauser to .44 AMP (and the .58 flintlock). Various rifles and shotguns round out the mix. Also into some small woodworking and metal craft. I'd love to have a forge, just no place to put one right now. Did I mention bbqing? Five pits on the back patio and hardly any time at home to use them, dammit!

Coffee is my other hobby /obsession. I have several roasters and just about every product know to man to brew it and along with several different grinders. I have several drip makers, vacuum pots, presses, and of course the best espresso machine that I could afford. I usually have multiply bags of several different types around at any give time and try blending either before or after roasting. I gave up trying to come up with my own espresso blend when I found a great one at http://www.sweetmarias.com the Espresso Monkey blend is better than any thing I could come up with.

My hobbies pretty much dried up when my two kids showed up. But golf, reading movies are left
