Baseball Fans?
I know that there are many members on SRP from other countries, so I'm not sure this would have any relevance to the "international members." I also know that football season is starting and that most Americans worship football and every Sunday from mid September through February is a national holiday.
I am not one of those Americans. I am a baseball fan 365 days a year. Unfortunately, I am bleed blue and orange and am a die hard New York Mets fan and have been since 1986 when the bad guys won.
So, I'm just curious who on here loves baseball and if you do, what team do you root for?

Diehard Tigers fan here. Baseball is truly the only sport I care to watch with the exception of mixed martial arts.
The best part about it is that I actually think my wife is a bigger fan of the game than I am, a few years back she actually took a second job at the ballpark so she could see games for free.

Thanked: 267Huge baseball fan when I was a kid but got away from it. Once it is in your blood it is just part of who you are. I use to listen to the games by radio in the early 60's while living in Florida. The games then were magical because the guys were bigger than life. Whitey Ford, Willie Mays, Sandy Colfax....different times then. I remember in grade school where we were all allowed to listen to the World Series because it was being put on the school's PA system and although we were supposed to be studying we were keeping box scores in the books that we were reading.
Enough of that, I am sure that the young Cuban Aroldis' Chapman 105 MPH fastball (I have read everything from 103 to 105). Not to be topped, he threw a string of 15 pitches over 100, not to shabby!
Take Care,
Richard
