I have not got all the pics yet, the other guy is going to send them to me on a dvd.
But here I have a zoomable map with all the airports we visited.
We camped out at about 10-12 different airports and got to see a bunch of fun things, both from the air and from the ground.
And a few pictures from the first half of the trip
Here is our plane, we are packing it before we head west.
The east coast of Florida on our secon day.
In Lake Whitney State Park, TX we got to actually taxi the plane to our campground and pitch up the tent under the wing of the plane.
We had to sleep on the ramp, under the plane in Blythe, CA
This is a lady in Horizon, near El Paso, Tx who let me fly her ultralight, amazing experience to dangle my feet at a thousand feet!Last edited by flyboy; 11-28-2010 at 01:17 PM.

Good luck! I don't know how it is in the EU, but many of the smaller airfields in the U.S. have courtesy cars you can borrow when you land so that you can run into town for food, etc...
As you go across Texas, if you're a fan of historical aircraft, stop into Harlingen, TX. They have what used to be called the Confederate Air Force (not sure of the current name) museum there. You can see some of the best WWII aircraft in the world at that museum!
Good luck, and I wish you nothing but smooth airspace and helping tailwinds (especially as slowly as the Cessna will travel)!

Thanked: 267Good luck on the trip! I know I speak the obvious...don't fly in bad weather that is the number 1 reason for downed aircraft.
Take Care,
Richard

I have finished the trip now, just came back, it was amazing and I stayed out of the bad weather or on the ground, depending on how it looked.
Thanks for your concern anyways.
