Doing The Wet Dog Shake!
Here's an interesting article about wet dog shaking with some accompanying video...
Physics of Wet Dogs Shake Out in High-Speed Videos | Wired Science | Wired.com
Here's an excerpt...
They attempt to calculate the optimum speed at which dogs should shake to most efficiently dry their fur. The team built a mathematical model of the processes involved, reasoning that surface tension between the water and the dog’s hair is what keeps the dog wet. Overcoming that tension requires a centripetal force that exceeds it. As centripetal force varies with distance from the centre of the creature, its radius is therefore crucial to work out the speed of the oscillations. The team arrived at an equation that calculates the frequency of that oscillation as R0.5.
I knew that!

Interesting,
I do not know if my dogs know all about this but they seem to have one law when doing this wet shake: Never shake your wet fur before running very close to any human first'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
