For dog owners
Unfortunately, one of my dogs has been diagnosed with a throat melanoma. The vet says the tumor is too big to remove, but they're giving him radiation and chemo treatment in an effort to shrink it down a bit.
Anyone out there dealt with this? I don't expect a miracle cure; just wondering if you get much in the way of additional life expectancy from all this ("expensive but worth it") treatment.

So sorry to hear this. I cannot help as i've never heard such treatments given to dogs here.
Currently we have 3 dogs, and for whole my life there's always been at least one dog in the house, so i've seen so many of them pass away. All were full family members.
I think that as long as you can see your dog enjoying his life, with a twinkle in his eye, it is worth anything you want to do for him. When the time comes that you see your dear friend suffering, it also time to make the last favor to your dear old friend and let it away to the place where is no pain but lots of rabbits to chase for.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
