Thread: The Weather

Mark Twain said,"Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it." I don't know if there is 'global warming' or climate change or whatever you want to call it. All I know is that Monday past down here in Palm Beach county FL it was 31 Fahrenheit where I was and 29 a bit west of me.

Today's high is projected to be 86 degrees on December 17. Another cold front blowing in from the northland come the weekend. It has been unseasonably cold down here for the past couple of weeks and Mark Twain was right .... nobody is doing anything about it. Useless politicians.

You may need to ask them to have a conference there.. with all the hot air they spew it may warm it up back to around normal

Mark Twain also said "The worst winter I ever endured was a summer in San Francisco." Some things weatherwise have not changed in last century and a half so it seems.

I love politicians. You can blame EVERYTHING on them.

It is only fair to blame everything negative on them as they all take credit for anything positive. Although blaming them for the weather may be a bit much.

Our dear Mr. Twain was not exactly correct. After our last small blizzard up here on the tundra, I figure I shoveled for about 9 hours and that in my back's opinion was certainly not nothing.

I do! When it gets cold I put on more clothes and turn the heating up (actually I may be overreaching for credit on this one as it's the thermostat that does it).
