Though I don't get chance to stop by very often, this thread caught my eye and I had to make the time. I'm so sorry for your friend, such a horrid situation to be left in. Been through it myself so fully sympathise, Catrent you are also in my thoughts and prayers. It will be dark in an hour when I shall light candles for you both too.
Keep your chin up and keep your faith in the opposite sex, it's taken me long enough to sort myself out but you will get there in the end.

Prayers are always good, but it sounds like she needs some practical help as well.

Count me in! Cant remember the chapter and verse atm, but as I recall(please excuse the paraphrase) anyone who does not take care of their family is worse than an unbeliever.

mhailey,
Prayers for sure, but how about the boys and Christmas? Do you know if they are getting anything? I can scrape up some extra money, do they need anything? Is your church helping them out.
Please let me know if I can donate something and how to get it to them.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.
As adults we can get by solo, when children are involved the need all our help.
I hope that with your attention the family will stay strong and have a crutch with the church and its members.

My thoughts are for the family. Although it might get difficult between adults sometimes, it's always sad to hear if kids are the ones to suffer.
Hope there will be better days ahead.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
