America has talent . . . . NOT
Being an avid juggler and hearing that som of america's top jugglers were going to be on the show I really was looking forward to the debut of this "talent" show. So I watched the show, lost all my respect for David H. got disgusted by the Simon C. Wannabe. and was sorely disappointed in Brandi.
What's worse is some of the acts they passed through, a vulgar 8 year old rehashing old soft porn material she's already done twice on national tv, a "granny" who couldn't hold a decent beat and only pretend to dance, man it was bad. They did let some half decent talent through but not because they knew talent, it's because they felt it had potential to be entertaining or filler fodder. What's up with even allowing a 60 year old stripper on prime time television? I don't care if he didn't go full nude, it's the content that bothers me, his breasts were more feminine that a lot of women. sheesh!
The true talent, Ivan the juggler, Vladik, the body hooping and other gymnasts were all down played. David H. even said "100% absolutely no!" to Vladik's juggling and his even more style and flash than some of the dancer's they've let through.
Then they trash the bird lady and don't even let her bring out the rest of her birds because they don't consider training animals in such a fashion to be "entertaining".
Simon C. wannabe said it all each time he let a variety act through after trashing one like it beforehand " . . . entertaining." If he didn't find it instantly entertaining he buzzed right off the bat.
Some other boards have hinted that the real Simon C is using this as a money making gig prior to signing whomever he's signing after this one. I'l be surprised if the prize doesn't go to a singer of some sort.

You have to remember that commercial T.V in this country caters to the lowest common denominator so if you expect real quality of any kind in a show your wasting your time IMHO.

For the most part I watch the History Channel, History International
and the like. Sometimes I watch a movie and I do like the Soprano's
and Penn and Teller's Bullshit on Showtime.
