Any one else finding it harder to travel with shave gear? Twice in a row I've had my DE blades taken...and it took some fast talking to save my Pre de provence soap. I didn't think DE were a problem.

Never had problems when I check my bags. No way you are getting DE blades through a carry on.

Why did they want to take your soap? It is not a liquid.

my artist club was nearly confiscated.. i had to try to saw my arm off with it for them to understand that it wasn't sharp and needed a razor blade installed for it to cut anything..

some people are morons.. anyway.. you should always place razor blades in your checked luggage.. or just purchase some when you get to your destination.

I have to assume that he assumed the metal soap container had liquid in it. When I opened it up he "scratch-tested" it and then said it was fine.

I try to never check baggage unless I absolutely have to. So my experience is on par I guess. Guess I'll have to start checking baggage.

They just took your blades and not the actual razor, right? I always take my blades out just to be safe and buy them at a CVS at my destination.
