    After experiencing this with both my father and grandfather, the last thing you should be doing is encouraging him to drive. You should IMMEDIATELY work to see that his license is revoked by talking to the DMV and/or his doctor. The alternative is him getting into an accident and hurting/killing himself or others. It's a very tough decision, but the alternatives are not good. If he has "memory loss" to that extent he's a menace on the roads.
    I'm very sorry to say this, but it's very important. I speak from experience.

    I was thinking that the automatic was a good idea till I read this. Makes sense. If you have 40 years + of training doing something one way thats how you're going to do it whenever you arent thinking about it.

    1000 hp ?? does your car have doors or do you get in it by sliding through the drivers window opening!!!
