Hmmm... and here I thought this would be a thread about RAD.. oh well.
Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. I have only experienced it once in my life and hope to never have it again. Glad you are feeling better and hope you reported the place to the Health department.

Good luck getting better. Food poisoning is no fun. A boy in France just died last week after food poisoning from a burger restaurant (the French equivalent of McDonalds).
My wife used to work for a lab where they analyzed food for the national health inspection.
On weekends, I used to accompany her in the lab and help her with disposal while she was doing tests (so she would be done sooner).
Let's just say: there are some things you just don't want to know (or see, or smell).
As a consequence, my wife and I have evolved to be very picky about kitchen hygiene, expiration dates, restaurant cleanliness, etc. And there are some things that we just don't eat anymore.

Thanked: 235I think maybe you shouldn't eat in Thailand. Here kitchens are a shared space with rats and ****roaches (can I write that word?), dishes are washed in a tub of cold water which also serves as a pigeon watering dish, and expiration dates refer to when you should get a new wife.
Hasn't killed me yet...

I agree. Food poisoning is the worst. Had it several times over the last 40 years, but the last was worst! Got some bad sea food while on vacation with friends at their cottage on the Connecticut seashore. We were in a 5 room cottage about as big as a postage stamp and I was making noises like a bull elephant in full charge! Thought I was going to die! Wanted to die! If I'd been into straight razor shaving I'd have had a self-inflicted cutthroat shave!
I share your misery.

Better to call the health department.
The more notice you give them the better they can
help notify hospitals and local doctors. The elderly
and the young can be wrecked by some of the tougher
food bugs. A phone call might save the life of a toddler
or "Gramps"...
You can bet it is not one table that got what you got.....
Also re-hydration therapy can save lives -- a simple
combination of water, salt and sugar....
- Half (1/2) teaspoon Salt and Six (6) teaspoons sugar
in a quart of water.
Oral Rehydration Solutions ORS Made at Home - Rehydration Project
The key is water with both salt and sugar...
Many sports drinks have too much sugar.
