Very interesting information.
I don't mean to offend by asking the following question: If you seem so appaled by what's going on, why do you continue to indirectly support this way of life by working there and accepting their money ?
Glenn ,
That's a great question. I would have to answer, I do it because my company is here and I have no problem with taking money from anyone.
Its a favorite past time here to slag this place.
But to be fair, no matter where we all are from ( ex-pats) most job markets are drying up in our motherlands , its better to earn then to sit around on the dole or work at McD making no money and having some child tell us how to do push buttons.
I am a bitter geezer or is that an old geezer who needs to be bit?
If you watch Houston animal cops and you'll know you don't have to travel to China for cruelty to animals. Dog fights, c*ck fights etc. are organised in the West as well.
@ shayne: Now you are talking about the China I detest, slaughtering a dog for food is acceptable to me, we all need to eat. The corruption and total lack of respect for human life is detestable to say the least. It is a moral shame that our corporations and the government they have bought have made China great, all for their love of money.
If I honestly had a choice, I doubt I would buy anything made in China. In fact, IMHO, there should be a trade embargo on them the same as we do Cuba but that will never happen. Much to my shagrin, the only thing we make in the U.S. these days is single mothers on welfare, meth labs, and high school graduates who can barely read. I'm as patriotic as they come but, hey, this is the sad truth.
