I always dreaded using a computer. Personal Confusers. I bought a mac almost four years ago. Best purchase I may have ever made. This video could sell Apple Computers by itself.

I had macs in the 80's and early 90's. Then I switched exclusively to PCs mostly for work. Last year I bought a new PC built for video editing and right out of the box it would not do what it was build to do - kept crashing and video studdered. Software company blamed the Pc builder. Pc builder blamed the the chip builder, Chip buiilder blamed the software company, and round and round we went. And after all the assessing of blame, absolutely no one (and i mean no one) could actually fix the problem. And I got tired of talking to tech support that was reading off of the same web file that I was looking at, so I sent it back and bout a Macbook Pro 17". Since then I've picked up two ipods, two iphones, and four ipads for myself and various family members. (talk about a halo effect!).

lol it's so true it's funny lol. I've been there and done that, not using a bat on the computer part, but I know what he's going through.

I have had similar issues with PC's but fortunately I am the one who built the machine and know the components and the software well enough to fix it. I built a rig for 3D animation about a year ago and had issues. Come to find out it was a video card driver so I had to find an older version to use to fix the issue.

I will admit that a Mac will normally work well for Video and Audio editing but so will a properly configured PC. The issue with PCs are that there are so many manufacturers that device drivers can become an issue. The issue I have with Mac is that since everything is controlled by Apple you pay a much higher premium for the machine or components. I know quite a few people who have jumped from Mac to PC for hardware issues that cost an arm and a leg to fix because of this control.

It really comes down to personal preference today though as the hardware aspect of computers is converging and the major differences between a Mac and PC are coming down to the operating system.

I've been Windows free for three years now!!! I run Ubuntu a Linux based OS and even though there have been a few glitches, I've always been able to find excellent community support. I also love the open source concept.

I respecifully disagree on the mac beating a pc. I think Pcs have a better network behind them and are easier to use with most progams than a mac, But to each their own.

Not only am I a Mac user, but I'm a lifelong mac user. I owned and Apple II in the 1970's. I even went to the US Festival.

I have a mac book pro 17". I got it because I wanted a laptop for school (I miss the days of a pen and paper) and my brother badgered me to go mac. I'm glad I did because macs are awesome. I am having some problems as of late but nothing compared to the constant issues one has with a PC

I've been using Macs for about 20 years now. No intention of changing. They're just tools though. If some other platform offered me what I wanted, I'd switch.

I got myself a new MacBook Air to replace my 2007 MacBook Pro. I've been using Macs since about 2004, and converted both of my parents to Mac. Can't imagine going back!
