    You don't need to "have a religion" just the belief that out there somewhere is a form of superior being. If you don't that is fine, not everyone does, freemasonry isn't something you would want to be a part of. Sometimes even freemasons themselves lose sight of what it is all about. Basically it's a code of morality that your father and grandfather would recognise, but today many consider it anachronistic.

    That's not true. You have to have a belief in a higher power, not so much be a part of any religious sect. Most of our founding fathers that were masons were Diests.
