    I decided to go with flat ground, since I'll be using it mostly for cutting carboard, rope, etc and the blade is thinner.
    For the flat ground, I read that ZDP is harder to hone and sometimes has a warp from the factory. Otoh, VG10 is supposedly significantly easier to hone (which is important to me), does not have the warp issue and has better resistance to water damage.
