Gary - My daughter turned me on to GD back in the eighties. Good stuff.
btw, I saw Tull in concert a couple of times in the seventies at the Forum.

I have all SRV's recordings (I think) and I find each one absolutely brilliant. His style and tone has not been equalled since he died.
Having said that John Mayer's early acoustic stuff is pretty impressive and his version of 'Lenny' on his live DVD is outstanding.

No, the worst thing is when you get into the elevator, you're tapping your feet and whistling along to the tune wondering "hmm, that sounds familiar" when all of a sudden you realize what it is... and the last time you heard it was at 100+ decibels with screaming guitars out of a stack of refrigerator sized speakers in some squalid little hole in the wall drunk out of your mind with a half naked redhead who didn't even have a name wrapped around you... and now... it's elevator music.
