Another recommendation is Jethro Tull's live DVD Living with the past, has all of the greats plus a few lesser known ones. Martin Barr is still some mean guitarist. And when they play "Hunt By Numbers" the whole place rocks. Literally. Turn up the vol and enjoy.

I don't know if you mean "unnoticed" by yourself, or by the rest of listeners, but they've been pretty big for quite a while. I guess I first heard their stuff in 1994. "Dookie" was their breakout album in that year. I bought "Nimrod" in 1997, too.

I'm a big fan of the "1990s rock." Nirvana, Soundgarden, Silverchair, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon, etc.

Then there's the older rock. I've got hundreds of old LPs in my collection. You name it, I've got it.

I have all SRV's recordings (I think) and I find each one absolutely brilliant. His style and tone has not been equalled since he died.
Having said that John Mayer's early acoustic stuff is pretty impressive and his version of 'Lenny' on his live DVD is outstanding.
