I don't know if you mean "unnoticed" by yourself, or by the rest of listeners, but they've been pretty big for quite a while. I guess I first heard their stuff in 1994. "Dookie" was their breakout album in that year. I bought "Nimrod" in 1997, too.

I'm a big fan of the "1990s rock." Nirvana, Soundgarden, Silverchair, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon, etc.

Then there's the older rock. I've got hundreds of old LPs in my collection. You name it, I've got it.
