kidding. i got the DE today; you are awesome and thank you. however, you spent six bucks shipping it to me, so for god's sake let me send you some money through paypal. six dollars is nothing to sneeze at, you know. for that, you could eat a huge-ass sandwich somewhere or, in most bars, you could almost get a half mug of watery american beer.

by the way, i'm posting this here instead of sending you a pm so everyone can see how nice we get along (so long as a no one mentions items 1, 2, and 3).

Lol, don't worry about it bro. $6 is nothing compared to what I already spent on shaving gear, so it's just a small drop in the bucket. In any case that's nothing compared to what quite a few people here have already done. Just use it, enjoy it and if you don't need it any more, pass it on to someone else.

Once again, I would like to give Tony and Ed their due credit as they were the ones who really made this happen. I am also thanking them in my friend Saadi's name as he's really enjoying his DE shaving experience. I am concerned that any money saved from not buying fusion blades may go toward other shaving gear lol.
Also, don't forget that we're dealing with CANADIAN dollars, so it's not QUITE as bad. It would get you about 1/3 of a jug of Molson Ex in a cheaper bar in Toronto.

Now a good fight may not be such a bad idea. It's been years since the last time I've stepped into the ring, and it would feel good to strap my gear back on and go for an exchange or two lol.

I read a book a few years back titled, "Cracker Culture", by Grady McWhiney (sp?). It is a study of the Scot-Irish people who settled in the American Colonial south during and prior to the Amereican Revolutionary War.

In the book, the author describes the lifestyle of the Gaelic settlers, and some of the habits and cultural traits of these people. One of the things that he described was the fact that their idea of a good time was to go get drunk and get into a fight.

The further I read through the book, the more I realized that not only did I recognize these character traits, but I could put faces and names of people I knew with them!

Of course, these guys didn't have "gear" or a ring. they just fought wherever they happened to be.

well, i'm a german, and i can relate, so maybe it's more widespread than you think. i do i bit of wrestling, boxing, and i took kung fu for many years when i was younger, so i guess there's something about fight i must like.

Up here in Canada just about every city has a bar where you can go, find a good scrap and then have a drink with the guy you just fought. It can be fun, but I think I'm too old for that. I still get the urge to do it in the ring, just never enough spare time.

X, there are a couple of bars in Edmonton that are world famous for it. Which brings me to a funny story. I was in Sudbury, working on my 3rd pitcher after already doing some heavy preemptive drinking (hey I was 19 and the bar/club scene was still new to me) when a guy came up to me out of the blue and tried to pick a fight. I told him "dude, I don't feel like fighting; came here to drink. maybe another time." He looked at me, paused, said "ok" and went to look for someone else lol.
