Thanked: 235The next generation
My wife and I recently had a visit to the doctor where she had her first ultrasound. It was a huge relief for my wife to see that there is in fact a baby in there. I had a huge smile on my face when we could see the tiny little heart beating.
We don't know if it is a boy or a girl yet, but I am already planning on teaching (if it is a boy) him how to use a straight razor, much to my wife's disgust.
So for a while I my collection of razors won't be growing much. All the spending is going to go on the little one.
I'm glad I have all the hones I need (there is a lot more I want, but I have what I need)

Thanked: 3795I sincerely congratulate you. Your life is over so send me your hones!
Kids change everything. Sometimes you will miss the way things used to be, but you wouldn't trade that little one for anything. Enjoy the ride!

Congratulations!.
And it doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl. My daughters shave themselves with a plastic straight sometimes. And my oldest also wants to learn how to sharpen real razors and help me restore them. She's been watching me work since she was 2. So boy or girl, they can enjoy razors no matter which they are.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 983And I know of one lady here in Australia who would probably have a collection of razors that would make even the worst RAD afflicted member here cry with envy. Girls can enjoy and appreciate CT's just as much as us boys that's for sure.

Congrats!
I know how much my life changed when my daughter was born, and again when we found out were pregnant for the second time, and AGAIN when we found out we were having twins! Lucky for you, I only see one in there. Very good news, indeed!

Congratulations! The ultrasound viewing is a powerful moment, especially when it's your first child. As you've said, "seeing the heart beat" confirms on a profound and visual level that you have a new human life among you.
