IIRC several of the founders were masons, and in masonry, there is a requirement to believe in a supreme being, be it Allah, Odin or God. It doesn't matter which. So I don't think they cared that much.
Religion was also purposely left out of the constitution.
But perhaps Shooter is right. Maybe we should leave religion out of this thread.

You need to go back and read these documents, I clearly remember something in the Declaration of Independence saying something to the effect of "the laws of nature and Natures God". I read it yesterday, we have it posted in our fireworks tent, so I am current on the reading.It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
