Dominique Strauss-Kahn
New news is that Dominique Strauss-Kahn may have been falsely accused. The women bringing the charges has been found to be associated with criminals, drug dealers who seem to have deposited over $100,000 in various bank accounts held by her. Not bad for a hotel maid. It will be interesting to see, if the charges are dropped, whether he can regain his former political status.
France seems to be split on that since the revelations of his possible innocence became known within the past 24 hours. Woe be unto a man who is accused of sexual misconduct or domestic violence. In general he is toast, guilty in the court of public opinion before being able to defend himself. Full disclosure, I was one who found him guilty with no trial until the women's reliability came into question.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Until all the facts come out I wouldn't be making any decisions yet. Part of a good defense is a good offense and his attorneys will be trying to make anything negative stick to her to reduce her credibility. In fact even if she is the biggest criminal in the world that may have nothing to do with the matter at bar.

This has become the MO for just about any case anymore. I am not in the least bit interested in the Casey Anthony case but what does the father's being accused with molestation have to do with the daughter's charges? It is a sad state in our legal system with these types of accusations are thrown into any situation just to confuse the jury. I heard this "strategie" has become common place in divorce courts. Not to minimize when it happens, but the permanent damage it will do to an innocent man...

Fresh off the press today: DSK faces new sexual assault charges by a French novelist, Tristane Banon. Let's see how this one sticks. What this will do to his political image remains to be seen. France was evenly split on this before this new allegation came about.

Well don't get me wrong, I have nothing for or against the guy, but an accusation of attempted rape in 2003 is going to be a he said-she said situation. If it wasn't brought to the law at the time I don't see it sticking. More than likely those who oppose his possible comeback as a presidential contender are seeking to further discredit him. OTOH, where there is smoke there is usually fire. If he has those proclivities he should be paying the price and I guess he is. At least in the court of public opinion.

I don't know whether he did it or not, but I do see that when a public personality is accused of something suddenly all these other people show yelling "me too!"
I would imagine it's an easy way to get in the limelight and maybe make a fast buck.
I suspect this whole thing was some sordid "business" arrangement which SDK backed out of and as a result the woman decided to cry rape. Just my opinion from what I've read.

One of the parties involved is a politician and the other appears to have already falsified part of her testimony.

The Anthony case continues to have many perplexing questions. The two that seem to be very important to me are motive and cause of death. I don't see the mom having any motive. Her parents were very willing to watch the child (according to testimony they had been doing this already).
The one that really leaves me perplexed is how do you have a manner of death, homicide, with no cause of death? The Medical Examiner testified that she could not determine the cause of death.Around these parts that just cannot happen.
In the fathers instance, murder is commonly used to cover up another crime. The investigation should have eliminated this possibility.
They tell many more small ones also.
Agreed, however if the person is once again accused of smoking weed or cheating on their taxes aren't you are more likely to believe that they did it again? Where there is smoke there is fire IMHO.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
