Well, with some rough eyeball measures and a run through a calculator, I estimate the angle as 14-15 degrees. I'm going to do what I can to follow what Phatman says.
Thanks for the help guys, I'll let you know how it turns out.
After seeing how some students treat these tools it amazes me that they aren't in worse condition.
