Default Seal Team 6 Members - RIP

May the Navy Seals, the Pilots and Crewmembers of that CH47 that was lost in Afganistan rest in eternal peace tonight. My heart goes out to the immediate families of these Soldiers and to the members and families of the entire Special Operations community. God's speed to each and every one of our Military as they proudly serve in harm's way, everyday.

I normally don't comment in threads like this one, but in this case I'll just say: those responsible will regret that.

+1 to the OP, may they rest in peace.

And on a serious note from the mod squad, please keep this thread on topic. No discussions about nuking anyone, government foreign policy or anything else of that ilk please, or the thread will be locked. This thread is to commemorate the lost lives of servicemen, let's keep it that way.

    Thanks,

    Stu

A tremendous loss of skills and intelligence. May they rest in peace and may we learn invaluable lessons from this terrible loss.

Always horrible when we loose any member of our military. Yesterday was a horrible loss of some very highly trained personnel who will no be easily replaced. My thoughts are prayers are always with those of our military.

38 people lost their lives in the crash.

    From the BBC:

The US military is trying to confirm whether insurgent fire brought down a helicopter in Afghanistan with the loss of 38 people, most of them Americans.

The dead included Navy Seals, Afghan commandos, US Air Force personnel, a dog handler, the Chinook crew and a civilian interpreter.
My condolences go out to the families of all of those who have lost their lives needlessly.
