Thanked: 90Back to the forum after another years absence
Last year was very eventful, but with a rather good outcome. I have primary custody of my son, I got my house and business back from my ex through the courts, and the summer was pretty lucrative.
Also, I got married. Elliette and I tied the knot Monday. I now have a lovely wife, a nine year old son and an 8 year old step-son (the two boys are best friends as well) and a successful business (knock wood). I think last time I checked in here my outlook was much grimmer. What a difference a year makes!

Well well well... Look what the cat dragged in
Welcome back Joe. It's always nice to see long time members come back.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Welcome back Joe and congrats on tying the knot and on your good fortune. Hope it gets even better from here.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 90Actually, I should not forget to mention that it wasn't all sunshine and apple pie. In the middle of February while I was enjoying a series of court victories over the ex, Elliette's mom passed. It was a very difficult month because my courtroom drama couldn't wait and Elliette had to deal with a lot of the heartbreak (and estate settlement) while I was a few hundred miles away. Difficult for me but much more so for her.
Things seem to be going our way now, though. The business was in financial ruin when I took it over but it's on an even keel with all the leaks plugged at the moment. I still have bills and taxes to settle yet, but we're cautiously optimistic at the moment.

Hey Joe, welcome back... again! The Elliette you mention, is she the one and the same as the SRP member Elliette? Congrats! How about a wedding pic with the the Proud bride and groom as well as the boys?

Thanked: 90Yes, it's the same Elliette as is on this forum. I'll post a family portrait on the "What do you look like" thread. It's the most recent picture of the four of us together from about a month ago...
