We got it light here in Fall River, Mass. Got maybe 2" and was gone by noon.......

    Kids loved it though!

People in my town have an apocalyptic fear of snow. When the white stuff came down yesterday, it was an opera. As smart as people like to think they are, facts are if it's 37 degrees F, and the ground hasn't frozen since last winter, the snow won't stick. Needless to say, the grocery stores made out, for they were mobbed. The weather man called for one to two inches.

I'm guessing we had about 9-10" of heavy, wet snow in Warren County, NJ. It's hard to say, because it was so heavy that it packed down under its own weight. I checked mid-afternoon (say around 3:00) and we had about 5 1/2". I checked again just before bed, and we only had 5", even though the heaviest snowfall was during that time.

A lot of branches and power lines are down. Fortunately, we only lost power for about 15 minutes. My parents had several large branches hit their house, and have been without power since about noon yesterday. Power company doesn't expect to have them back on much before Thursday or Friday.
