sig handguns anyone
Thinking of getting a Sig 220 SAO w/rail and m6x light. Wondering what kind of shooter it is, doesnt need to be pretty just dependable and accurate. Will be using it for carry use and alternating with my SA1911A1 and for some jobs that would be better suited to a gun that doesnt reflect light like my 1911 does.
Any opinions?

Thanked: 346So why not get a parkerized 1911 and paint it black? I love SIGs, but they didn't get their reputation with their SAO models.

Never tried the SIG but would highly recommend a Glock, Foolproof, acurate and it's light. Never had a malfunction with mine

Thanked: 346My Glock 23 was a jamamatic with all four magazines, and I've personally seen two Glocks blow up at the range. I'd go with the SIG or a 1911, if you're talking DAO I'd go with a Kahr over the Glock.

Probably a pretty good choice as long as its not a Double Action Sig. A SOA might be just fine. I believe there are two guns in the world: A 1911 Commander and everything else. I carry a J Frame for backup. But a Sig wouldn't be too bad a choice. I'd probably get another 1911 myself. I consider Sigs to be strong and reliable but I've never trained on the SAO version. I like my grip safeties btw.

As I believe I've already mentioned, I think it's a darn shame that people in your country have (or feel they have) the need to carry a concealed handgun when they leave their homes.
That said, I think the 1911 .45 design is one iconic (and all-around badass-looking) weapon! If I didn't have such a big dick, I'd probably carry one.
Sweet.

I carry either a Beretta Cougar 9mm, a Para Ordnance P-10 .45 or a Kimber Ultra Carry .45. I think of the 3 the Kimber is my favorite. It's a sweet shooting little gun that's real easy to bring on target.

I dont like Glock's I have owned them. I love 1911,s but I feel like I need to diversify a bit for different things. Plus 1911 are very accurate but also require more TLC, the sig shouldnt, and its a mental thing. If I have issues with my 1911 feeding, I dont want to carry another gun of the same model while that one is being fixed...it screws with my head too much, if that makes any sense.
Anyway I really like HK, but I cant do a right handed safety, I am left handed and reaching the right handed safety requires me to lose more of a grip than I would like on the weapon.
I think Im gonna go with the sig...its stainless, its ambi safety, its single action and more easy to carry cocked and locked, and it has an ambi safety wit ha single stack
