This is the first smart thing I've heard congress do in a very longtime. I'd buy a strop just on principle. When they (congress; with a little 'c' because they don't rate a big one) got into everybodies business the first time, they made it illegal; they left a whole posse of horses abandoned and neglected by people that couldn't keep feeding them and they were turned loose to the wild to starve. They (horses) lose the ability to chew their food at a certain age. Hence, they starve a little bit at a time. So sad. Better to be used for a good purpose and, by the way, horse leather is great.

Thanked: 1936I'm not opposed to horsemeat at all. Abandonment is a big issue around here, I have a friend who has offers for two+ horses a week...for free. I'm not talking about old nags, I'm talkiing about good looking horses that are broke, ready to ride. The drought around here is making a "pet" horse a very expensive undertaking.
