Thanked: 1371I'm confused as to the point of posting that.
Is it funny? Is there some social commentary to be had? You thought it was a notable news story because...???
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 1185I'm flexible, we could go either way. Although to be honest I find it more shocking and sad than funny. The grumpy old man inside of me wants to make a comment like, "Gentlemen, I give you Darwin's theory in action." On the other hand I suppose it could be a segway into a discussion about the decriminalization of recreational drugs. As conservative as I am politically, there's a part of me that says, "What do I care what someone else elects to put into their body? As long as they're not stealing from me or harming my family to get their stuff" That said, I've seen first hand what drug and alcohol addictions can do to families. After all, both of these kids were somebody's sons, somebody's brothers, maybe even somebody's father. Most addicts are very fond of saying they're hurting no one but themself. Nothing could be farther from the truth, drug and alcohol addiction destroys lives, destroys families and destroy's communitiies. Having said all that, clearly, the laws and mechanisms currently in place and the "War on Drugs" have all been abysmal failures for years, essentially money pits for the government to fill with money legally stolen from hard working decent people. Hopefully, you found my re-engage a bit more provocative... Your Move.
