    Default Dirty Jobs episode 1-10-12

Mike Row visited a barber shop and did some straight razor shaving, it was very interesting.
He used a cheap razor more like the kind you would trim hair lines with, and heaven forbid canned shaving cream and barely a warm towel.

And of course drew blood on national TV... The barber not Mike. I have a feeling the barber didn't normally shave his customers and only did it for the show, but lacked the skill.

Mike more or less refused to try, he got close but choked out when the blade got close to the guy. (the guy getting shaved was the part of the production crew.)

I should send Mike a shave ready real razor and some cream... With a video..lol

That's awesome!! I bet he would give it a shot! He's actually a really cool guy SWMBO and I had beers with him in a totally random bar in DC.

Saw it too last night. Let the kids stay up to watch it too. The barber was pretty astute and knowledgeable. The shaving thing bugged me though. Oh well. He was a Viet Nam vet though. That garners a level of respect from me on it's own.
