    1) Yes it's me.
    2) Some new type of H&K assault rifle, with underslung 40mm grenade launcher.

I was invited as a guest to one of the British Army's armourys where they collect all kinds of weapons from all over the world, from WW1 to experimantal stuff which is in prototype stage. It's also an experimental research place where they test and develop armour plating/matting, with all different kinds of ammo and weapons. For example if you want to test how a new kevlar vest works against a chinese AK47 with some weird hungarian ammo, they'll have the kit and the facilities to test it there.

Very cool place, and no I wasn't allowed to test fire anything that time.

I was in their gun club for 3 years though (before the UK banned handguns for private citizens), where I used Browning Hi-Power, CZ75, Ruger .357/.44 magnum, SA-80, MP5, Beretta 92f etc.

Here's a couple of larger pics.

Sorry, I blinked when the flash went off!

hmm...thats funny, no one invites me to test new weapons....and I used to think a food tester was a great job...a weapons tester definitely wins!!!

Great pictures, I especially love the 50 BMG, you look like you were enjoying yourself quite a bit lol!

I'd like to get a little trigger time with a with a Barrett M82A1, and have a pic to remember it by. The first photo looks a little like the HK416 platform, but I'm not gonna swear to it.

A buddy of mine had one - the blowback from the muzzle brake would part your hair standing 8 ft behind the firing line. It was tough finding ranges that allow them.

I think there's only 1 civilian range in the whole of the UK where they allow these, at Bisley!
