    Default dry as a bone!

In the winter my skin gets dry. The skin dries out during the day and I have to re apply the Burt’s Bees I am using now to keep my hands from cracking. Does any one have a good lotion or cream that might resolve this problem. I know some of you boys live in very cold areas. (For the life of me I don't know why) but I thought you might have something special or proven to last a while.

The problem is that washing your hands will also dry out your skin. However one thing that does last a while is Glysomed. It will leave your hands feeling greasy but there's no better product to help your hands recover from shoveling snow at -40.

I have the same problem. I have been using Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand cream. Works ok

I use creams from Lush. I'm using the Fream Cream right now and it's GREAT!

Philip, the good thing about Glysomed is that you can pick it up @ WM and it's relatively cheap... As for Lush, I can't imagine how you can walk in there without a gas mask

I've never had need to use it, but some folks swear by cornhuskers lotion. Its very cheap and available at any drugstore.

My wife gets dry, cracked hands. She uses Sorbolene (smells funny, but not in a nasty way, and is cheap too)

The best product I've ever tried for dry cracked hands is Bag Balm. It was developed as a salve for cow's udders but has developed quite a following for human use. I've seen it for sale in most drug stores (CVS, Walgreens) and in WalMart and Target.

I've tried may of the other already mentioned and none of them have worked for me.

I now use Zim's Crack Cream. I get it at wal-mart.

It is the only thing I've found that will heal cracked fingers. I get infected cracks in my fingertips - Rubbing in Zim's several times during the day will heal the crack in 24 hours.

Zims Crack Creme and Eucerin are what what I used when I worked outside during the winter. They kept my hands from turning into alligator skin.

The Zims went on my knuckles and nail beds, the Eucerin I just rubbed in everywhere.
