Hitler and Stalin also did something I find more insidious: they threw away the right to a fair trial. I understand why the US is taking the stand it is, but what's going on in Guantanamo Bay appears to outsiders as very, very close to crossing a line.

My point is that you can hold your 2nd ammendment up as an effective and "readily available means" to redress imbalances between infalibility and corruptness, but if you can't see the imbalances, what good is it?

It depends where your priorities are, Im not ready to put my life on the line for the #*$%@# in Gitmo. they are POW accross enemy lines, and I would be much more worried about what we are doing in all the areas you don't hear about. Take everything you hear and multiply it several times, that will give you a much better understand of what the governments of several countries arent telling you. however, I have a responsibility to myself, my family, and my fellow patriots, thats where my priorities stop.
