I am pretty sure your grandfather felt the same about the morals of all the youngsters in his days. Nevertheless, the further back in time I think, the more immoral people back then seem. Buying and selling women was common practice not so long ago, and by today's standards most of them would be considered children. Also rape seems to have been simply one of the trappings of power...

Thanked: 485Was gonna say Wombats...
There's some sort of creature getting under the fence that surrounds the Pine and Gum forest that surrounds the local cemetery where I take the dog for a walk. Not sure what it is. Judging by the fence it's a little less than a foot high. I noticed the other day some signs of a 'struggle', some of the grass was removed in a couple of patches. So either he came to grief at the hands of a fox or something else. I've never seen a Wombat around here; but it could be a little Wallaby. Of course, I have very little idea why I'm talking about Wombats and Wallabies on a thread entitled 'A father's Love and Rage' but that's just me....

Thanked: 983They'd still be working out what the bright light was mate, and before they could say something along the lines of "oh darn" they'd be kickin' back chewin' the fat with the Rainbow Serpant...No stress..
I agree with you, we should be eating more protien rich, lean red meat such as can only be had from 'roo's. Tastes great and is better for you than beef.
