Oh sorry man - with the eh thing, I thought you were a Canadian. Even then - who knows how old you are lol! Google her. If you knew the case - "omission" was an issue. As I understand it - Canadian lawyers have a loyalty to the crown where American lawyers have loyalty to thier clients. The Canadian lawyer in this case might have practiced "American" law and a killer got off with a min of time. He's no longer practicing.
Husband and wife killers out of Toronto.

I'm not sure what the point of this thread was.
Anyone can simply travel out of a jurisdiction to evade local laws. Evading paying taxes, getting abortions, buying guns, the list is endless. Everyone does it and and always has and always will unless the Govt try's to stop it. If they do the black market takes over.

Yeah I am not sure anymore either thebigspender lol! But if you like a good conspiracy and buy into the whole 1% thing, you could make a good argument that:
Those in power who are generally affluent and big business might be manipulating the law knowing very well that it will not affect them and that the "unwashed masses" can be sold on laws (if they vote at all) that aren't in their best interest in order to serve "the better good!"
If you step back from the moral issues of abortion and see it as merely a way to ensure population growth (something very few western nations have anymore- note problem), and know that our entire financial structure is based on the premise that the next generation will be bigger than the last then perhaps... just perhaps, you might ask yourself if these laws are based on the moral underpinnings that so many claim - or if they are just a convenient tool to be manipulated.
Of course this all predisposes that big business and lawmakers actually think in those terms - and that can be a tough sell too LOL!
Wow that was fun! Yeah - I say close this puppy down!

Abortion has always existed even in Roman times. Before it was legalized in this country women of means left the country and those without went to back alley abortion clinics where they used a wire coat hangar and wound up in the emergency room or died.
