Sure, you were forced to be born in this country, your parents forced it on you. But at some point in life you chose to live in it, and voice your opinion on how it's being run by voting. Now, you can blame your fellow citizens for not agreeing with you, but at the end of the day when you're in the minority you just have to suck it up and get along.
I don't understand what's so controversial about all this. I thought americans pride themselves of having the best political system in the world where they freely choose the government, and when they're not happy with it, they can replace it with a better one without another civil war. Instead all that I see is everybody blaming their political opponents.

Ah yeah, I forgot, all those guns that Obama took away from the good people, the shortage of ammo he orchestrated, the ban on assault weapons he tightened to trample on the 2nd amendment, all those criminals that he imported instead of deporting, the flood of illegals that has increased tenfolds since George W Bush had sealed the border.
I just forgot to check the facts, sorry, my bad...

Thread Evolution
Thread evolution is a interesting thing to behold and this thread is by far one of the most bizarre in its evolution. There have been quite a few "Squirrel" moments with this one. Being somewhat bored, I decided to browse through all the posts of this thread so far starting at the beginning and here is a brief summary of what I have found for those who may have missed some of the discussion.
This thread obviously started out about "Fast & Furious" and stayed on track for most of the first 39 posts. Then the fun began. Topics mentioned include "Obamacare", whether or not Obama is a Marxist, turning the USA into some sort European style socialist republic, the housing bubble and the CRA, right vs. left, republicans vs. democrats, high school philosophy, social security, a dig at the Dream Act (I'll admit that one was mine), Prohibition, Child labor and the Tea Party, "...the Tree of Liberty..." needing to be be refreshed ala some sort of civil war, and the TSA ammunition purchases. I think that pretty much covers it, my apologies to any topics I may have forgotten to mention.
Carry on.

Thanked: 88I have a number of forums (both online and conventional) in which I can discuss politics. This forum is a wonderful resource for me to find information about shaving and discuss day-to-day life with friends across the world. If I chose to discuss politics here, I'd understand that the site has a hugely diverse member base of mature men who aren't likely to change their views based on something read on a message board.

Thanked: 884What you posted just brought something to mind for me. I served aboard the CVA-66 USS AMERICA. The Navy decided to sink that big beautiful ship a few years back.
As for thread evolution? This one has been on a wild ride.
I'm still furious that Holder gets a free pass.
