A Barber's Wages.
I found this barber's wage book in an antique store this year. The year that he made his weekly wage entries was 1941. Some weeks were better than others on the money earned. I included a few of the pages for you to see.
I hope you find it interesting.

Thought how low the wage per week was, until I remembered that I only made 90$US/wk after 4yrs of College 20yrs later.

I kinda wish current times were similar to those. Life seemed "simpler"

I have a canceled check that my grandfather wrote to the grocery company (Safeway) in 1927! It’s a counter check written in pencil!
I also have a canceled bank note for a loan of $300 taken out in 1930-pre-printed interest was 12%!! Those were the days of the depression!Last edited by cudarunner; 06-28-2012 at 05:54 PM.
