Ok, upon seeing a post by Matthew Poeller mon another forum and seeing some of his work I decided to order one myself (had to save up for it since I'm a poor student but eventually I did).

I caught him at a bad time since he was leaving on his honeymoon soon after we spoke through e-mail but he was awesome to deal with.

He made a 2 tone fountain pen for me. With a body of Birdseye Maple and a cap of Spalted Maple. The pen is HUGE but after writing with it for only 2 days it's already my favorite over my Parker '75 and my Chinese cheap finetipped fountain pens. And the parker was considerably more expensive.
It's gorgeous. I'd like to recommend him to anyone who'd like a piece like it. He's also been doing brushes lately he said.

But don't just believe me
Have a lok for yourself.

The picture itself doens't quite show either the sparkle of the Birdseye or the grain of the spalted maple. But for that you'll just have to take my word.
