I think all creatures in Australia are sweeties... I even have a pic from another trip where I am petting a wallaby
. OK, maybe I wouldnt do that with a 'roo... or, um... pretty much any other insect, mammal, marsupial, bird, reptile, etc... in Australia. Hell, the ant hills on Mt Ainsley were almost waist high! I also saw a spider bigger then my fist and his web was a good 12 feet wide! No joke!
Yea so many of God's wild creatures are so adorable you just gotta reach out and touch them. Until they bite, scratch etc. Right after the Covo restrictions were lifted for our Yellowstone National Park a visitor decided that getting close up to a bison for a good picture would be a good idea--WRONG! But there again you never know when an animal who has been domesticated for ages might turn against you

Yeah, some guy decided to do the same with the wild horses on Payne's Prairie Preserve near us. Didn't end well for him either.

With as many people who get injured every year by bison in the national parks, you'd think people would be smart enough not to approach them!

BTW... the wallaby I was petting? It was in one of the petting areas of the National Zoo in Canberra.

Many years ago when my oldest daughter was about 8 or 10 years old (she's now 43) we were at the Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo and in the area of 'Farm Animals' she was totally bored and was looking at the pigs when a small boy ran up to the fence and saw the pigs and then turned around all excited to his parents and said "What's This"?!?!? My daughter calmly looked at him and said "Breakfast".

Not much call for a straight on my face at the moment, but still use them on my head. Here is what I look like at the moment. I don't understand where the old man with the white beard came from to be honest, but he follows me around and stares back at me from the mirror!
