I see... and are your grandparents portuguese? Or you, perhaps? That would be a gret discovery because there are but 2 of us "great navigators" here!

No neither my grandparents or I are portuguese, we were all born in england (although im told i dont look very english). My grandparents have had a home there well over 20 years and i have visited at least once a year since i was born.

I just love all these great pictures of you guys, especially the ones with your families. I haven't got a really good one of our whole crew recently, but I will make a point of getting some and post one or two a little while down the road. Until then, here's a pick that's only about a month old of Little Man and I enjoying the morning air in Kamloops. He's already about a pound heavier than he was then. They really do grow like weeds don't they? Must be what we're feeding him.

That's true... you certainly don't look very english (whatever that means... ). Nice to know that our oldest allies still enjoy our shores!

Me with my wife just after the wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful sunny day, with lots of wind (the day before, it was raining cats and dogs, so we were happy to have the wind ) When this picture was taken, we were listening to a "concert" of mediaeval music played live by my aunt and two of her friends... a magic moment.

You can see me on my profile but here are a few for this thread.

    Me at work.

Me at "play"..... working hard! Also in need of a shave, my face that is, lol.

Me and my girlfriend, Leila, in Ruidoso NM. Still need that shave.

All of these pictures are before I found straight razors so shaving was still a chore.

Funny that you've shaved your legs but not your face. I thought every hair slowed you down. You should do the arms, while you're at it

We don't actually shave for aerodynamics. The two main reasons cyclists shave are one, that if you take a spill, smooth skin slides better on the pavement and the hair doesn't get ripped out. Two, massages feel much better on smooth skin. The pros get quite a few more massages but during the season, I try to get at least one a week. I guess for the first reason, the arms would be a good idea too. Swimmers do shave for hydrodynamics as there is much greater drag through the water than there is through the air.
