Sorry to hear about your folks. The staggering numbers are scary too. My mother is a breast cancer survivor. I just hope it's something I don't develop in my lifetime. The doctors found a polyp in my intestine, and it could in fact be cancerous. The first thing that was going through my mind was : I sure hope my boys don't develop cancer.

Next month I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy. It's not a fun topic but they say that early detection is vital to beating it, if it is in fact cancerous.

    Smile Yeah...

...it sounds like our orders are mixed up.

I had the barium enema done just last month. It was really uncomfortable. I mean honestly, if there was ever a time a human being felt vunerable....that would be it.

You're laid out like a turkey on a bed on your belly, wearing one of those hospital gowns (where it's opened from the back) with a tube up your rear end. And in my case, I had a female nurse who performed it.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't embarrased so much by that as I felt awkward by how she kept repeating every five minutes : "Don't worry, I'm a professional. I've seen it all". I'm like "Ok, ok".

The worst part was when they pumped the enema in me. I accidentally said something out loud which I didn't mean for her to hear. I blurted out "Jesus, how do you women put up with this?" and when I heard her laughing, and asking "What?" I realized my faux-pas.

    BTW...your wife doesn't sound so old. I'm 34 1/2 myself.

I think your razor needs honing, Natepaint, I can still see a few whiskers on your face.

    Thanks, guys!
Holli4pirating, was linking us pics, to his different beard styles, the other night on chat. Posting here was the easiest and quickest way for me to show him mine.

That is my Fall and Winter look. Here is my spring and summer look, with my lady, at my brothers funeral....Oh....wait..I mean wedding.

I would normally start growing the beard right about now, but since I found the joys of straight razor shaving, I think, last years beard will have probably been the last one.
