Willn, I have a fly rod and I love it. I am not very good at it but it is a lot of fun anyway. From your gear, it looks like you are somewhat of a pro. Mack

I'm Vernon, aka Gibbs on here and I live near Fennville, MI. Started shaving with a straight razor about 2 weeks ago, but been a member here since around the 12th or so... I think. First shave I didn't have to poke a finger for checking blood sugars, as I managed to get in a nice cut (not nick) I have practiced with a dull razor since then and working on honing skills. Just shaved this afternoon on Saturday the 26, Feb and my wife took my picture. So now you know who the real "Gibbs" looks like on here. I really enjoy ALL of your help and understanding and encouragement. Anyway, my 4th shave entirely with a Gold Bug vintage straight razor circa 1930 or before.

And my setup for shaving. Dovo being honed as we speak. It's new, but I have a few others. The brush and mug were from Herman Barnum who wanted me to have them after his passing. I watched Herm shave back in the mid 1960 using this same mug and brush and his straight razor. It still works.

    mjhammer and str8fan like this.

Well I have been around here for almost a year.. and I don't think I have ever run across this thread.. LOL

This is a picture taken at Oswald's Bear Farm in Northern Michigan about 4 or 5 years ago. We were lucky enough to be there when they had a couple of young black bears so my wife, daughter and I were able to pet and feed it and be around it.

Jeff beautiful car. Is it a 4 door or 2. My old man had a a '55 2 door post back before I came around, and he regrets getting rid of it to today.

I love Flyfishing and that particular picture was taken in Alaska a very long way from anyone and anything so good equipment there is a must. So is the bear spray that you see and the side arm that you don't!

I don't know about pro, but thanks for the compliment, I have been doing it for a long time (probably poorly) but i do enjoy it.

4Door hardtop, 265V8, Automatic Trans. I purchased the car in 2006 and am the second owner. I knew the original owner who sold me the car. It is all original.

Thanks for wearing the uniform, friend. Referring specifically to this post, but several others in this photo group also need to be acknowledged.
