Sally Ride - First American Woman In Space
RIP. Broke more than one barrier on her ride into space on the space shuttle Challenger in 1983. A world class hero.

She set the bar high.
Cancer is a rough way to go.

Thanked: 334...Into the night sky rode the explorer on a silver steed of thunder chasing the path of glory.
My deepest respects to her family.Last edited by mapleleafalumnus; 07-24-2012 at 04:05 AM.

I never really thought about her contrabution to the world, until I saw her passing in the news today; for that I am somewhat ashamed.
Flying Free
Flying free within the sky's,
My mind is free, and my spirit's high.
Strength tis there within.
With life aways nigh.
I fly with the birds,
Soar with the eagles,
Flitter with the brightly colored,
And glide with the magestic.
Always will I be flying,
And never will I drop.
For my mind is free and my spirits high,
While flying in the sky's.
