My wife is too, but she's just as fun when she drinks the Jim Beam or even beer, and not nearly as expensive....

I'm trying to envision this mishap. Maybe... in your workshop... 'cause of where else could a waterstone come in the vicinity of concrete?... and mama comes in to chat about something... spots the stone, picks it up with two little fingers 'cause it looks like it could be vile, and says something like, "Oh honey, look at the spider on the floor! Bombs away."

I like to sharpen knives outside in the backyard. I left my stones on the table the day of a family gathering. Not a wise move.

Sorry to hear about it Larry. Shaptons are great stones and I always wanted to try one. You can use this as an excuse to buy a replacement and another one since you're already paying for the shipping

There is nothing my dear wife is not allowed to touch...and a couple I'm actively encouraging her to - the lawn mower, for instance

Seriously, my wife has a knife phobia which includes straights and associated peripherals, so no chance of her ever touching these. Makes getting ready in the mornings a bit tricky though...
