I ran into the manual open cans all the time at work.
I honestly got to say a electical can opener is a waste
of space. and power. cause can foods pro is simple doesn't go bad
when you lose power. if you only have electiacal can openers ya
gots a problem when you have no power.

Thanked: 220What is your opinon on automatic can openers ?
I can't stand any 'automatic' opener, they never work right, and by the time they do, you could have opened 4 cans by hand! Nothing works as good as an old fashioned, tried, tested, & proven hand opener. So what if it requires a little elbow grease!

Bullets outa cans, yeah, damn good idea! They are in a controlled space, unaffected by corrosion and, well, that's about it! They refer to them as "spam cans". The first ones I got like that were the 7.62x54R for my Mosins. I can't recall the country of origin, but at the date of manufacture, it was during the second World War. Talk about labor intensive! Each twenty round box was tied shut with a piece of twine, then the cans were soldered shut. I bought them because they were brass cased, and the steel cases, when the gun gets a bit hot, will get sticky. The cartridges were pristine, over sixty years in a can, and they looked like brand new! Years ago I picked up some 7.62x39. It actually came in a wood case, shipped from New Jersey for free! The darn box weighed a bunch, and I'm out here on the left coast. Kinda makes me wonder sometimes when I see people charging over ten bucks to ship a what, maybe three ounce razor? Oh well, now that I have some bullets to set free, I want to qualify for a conceal carry permit.
Have a great weekend!! I might go punch some holes in some paper. donv
