One of my best friends has copious amounts of 223 ammo, 12ga shotgun shells and 45ACP stashed. He started buying and storing dried food and water. He was telling me to buy a 'get away' bag with a medical kit, all of the stuff to 'survive' in a SHTF situation. Years ago I used to think he was nuts. It is only in the last few that I'm thinking he was a prescient thinker.

I tell you guys over the years I have used that wonderful saying "America , Love it or Leave it" way to many times, to not mean it for myself too..

There are two areas of the US that have the actually possibility of truly seceding from the union, one as mentioned above is Texas, the other area is called the "Big Four" which are ID, MT, ND, & SD both of these areas could become their own Sovereign territories in fact both areas have grumbled about it in the past... I have hope that if things get too bad it might happen, before I start booking flights outta the US

Looks like this is related to the UN demands that US abandons the second amendment. I believe there were discussions on that on CNN recently.
It sounds like the judge is predicting unrest if people are banned from owning guns.

I read the article; I don't know the judge, so I can't clearly see his motives for making the statement.
I'm not the bit concerned about the UN or it's Blue Helmuts. The UN unleashed in Texas, would be about as effective as a, "Eunuck given a 7 day pass at the Playboy mansion." In recent memory the only thing that the Blue Helmuts seem to accomplish is,,,,,well,,,I can't seem to think of anything positive,,,, a few rapes of the local population seem to occur; then again we know what Texans due to rapists.

The UN would need the "Total" support of the U.S. Military to begin operations on American soil. The U.S. military is not made of "mind-numb" robots. It is not made up of desperate men & women who fear government retaliation for not blindly following orders. Unlike most countries, the U.S. Military it is a Volunteer Army that loves it's family and the American way of life. I have it from a very close "ranking" source, who is in a combat unit, that the idea of turning their weapons on their own country has been discussed many times before. The consensus is, that the majority will not obey such an order.

This is a good time for everyone to prepare for harder times. The recent T.V. series on Doomsday Preppers was, in my opinion, made to mock and entertain through extreme examples. I did pick up a thing or two from each episode. Currently we, in South Florida, are awaiting another hurricane. The wise people are already prepared, the rest will wait in the dark & stand in line for ice when it's over.

You have to understand that though I get this, "love it or leave it" mentality... it urks me to my very core!

Now know I have a TON of respect for Glen... A ton. Plus a ton of respect for the countless others who say this very thing, but think it threw a bit. It's hog wash!

First off - where exactly do you want to go? To a developing nation? Unless you are highly educated that's about the only place that'll have you. Or do you want to go to a developed nation that's a part of the UN, has socialized medicine and strong federal programs? Because if you want to go to one of those nations, you better have something to offer, and you better be prepared to be even more frustrated by how the man does things there!

There is a reason why millions of people still want to come to America!!

Love it or change it I say! Don't think about running for Gods sake! We need as many smart people as we can in America to make it what it is. Sure some things have gone south... but that was under your watch! Your vote! Going out and killing your brother because you are pissed.... In America... or running away, is an asinine solution "TO ME." YMMV.

If I remember correctly, I think somewhere in the Texas Constitution there is an article that states it can choose to become the Lonestar Nation again if it chooses.
