Default H&K USP 45 12 Round Magazines, Seen Any?

Since so many of you are into guns, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick up a few new factory H&K mags for a USP 45 full size that hold 12 rounds instead of the standard 10. A lot of these are LE only marked, some are not, I dont care about the markings, I just want them to be made by H&K and hold 12 rounds. I have seen them online for around $55.00 - $80.00 which is just stupid, I am looking to spend $50.00 or less per mag. The H&K part number is 217710

If you don't mind just keep an eye out at your local gun shops or online and let me know if you see anything. Thanks!

I am not an HK guy so I cannot help much. Have you tried Glock Talk? They are a pretty good group. Here is a direct link to their HK Club section

On a side note we are trying to update our MP5's and they are not being very helpfull. Not returning phone calls or emails. We have been trying to get some service from them for months. I understand the company is in a little trouble. I am told they lost their class III FFL

I dont know what company you guys are dealing with but it doesnt sound like you are going directly through HK. They cater mostly to military and LE, and they are usually very easy to deal with.

Its direct and its for LE. Maybe the person we are dealing with has dropped the ball? Or maybe they don't care cause its a small order? Its our understanding they have been bought out by a banking firm and these guys are trying to run it as such and failing at it. Don't know if there is any thruth to that though?

Weird, I have heard nothing but great things about their service since they moved their customer service to the US, although previous to the US move the service wasnt great for civilians, but it was never short of stellar for military (not sure about LE). They have so many military and LE contracts, I find it hard to beieve they would ignore a department no matter how small. On top of that they are launching an updated version of the USP early next year to compete more directly with Sig and S&W. I havnt heard of them buing bought out, but generally a company with that many world wide military contracts does not get purchased by a compamy who is not ready to tackle the demand.

Let me know how it turns out for you. I use my USP for work and personal use, and I would definitely be upset and worried if I couldnt get parts or service quickly.

I'll check with the guy who is working on it and let you know where he heard that info. Even if they were bought I don't think you need to worry about them going bye bye. Someone would straighten them out if thats the case, they are too big a brand and worth too much $$.

Just out of curiosity do you carry that thing IWB or OWB?

IWB, are you nuts?! Concealing that beast IWB would just be to much of a pain. I carry shoulder or OWB.

I just had to ask, I know its a brick thats why I can't believe you carry it

I found out that the info on HK loosing its Class III was direct from a company rep, thats why he kept telling us to wait to get our MP-5 and UMP for testing.

The info about them being bought by bankers was from two seperate gun dealers. Apparently they have dumped a lot of their dealers as well.

I wonder what they could have possibly done to lose their class III that is the bulk of their business! I'll ask some people I know and get back to you.

As far as carrying the HK, its really not bad, I used to carry a 1911 and before that a Glock 30, but I have found its really more about the belt and holster than the gun. I usually wrap my weapons in Milt Sparks leather and regardless of the holster I ALWAYS use a sparks belt. Together they really make it feel like its nothing much, but then again I am so used to carrying that maybe I just dont realize it at this point. You have to keep in mind since Im private I can use any gear I want, unfortunately most LEO's dont have the best stuff for their particular body type and thats when things get really uncomfortable.
