Faith in humanity
Sometimes it's hard to have any faith in humanity. Between wars, politics and crime, I often have a hard time believing that people can be anything other than the animals we are. In the wake of an absolutly heinous crime in the area I live, a small bright spot has appeared that, even though a horrible crime was committed, reaffirmed some sense of faith in my fellow man. Here is the story from the local paper:

To me, this man was a true hero in every sense of the word and I can only hope that others would act in the same way in similar situations.

He did indeed do the right thing. And as Hirlau said, God Bless them both.

Thanked: 884WOW. That was a wonderful thing to do. It took a strong man to pull that one off.
I hope he comes through it OK. That's gonna a rough thing to remember.
I watched a woman burn to death one night in a wreck. We couldn't get to her to help.
That one still haunts me and that was nearly 30 years ago.
God Bless that man and give him strength.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
