    Default New monitor's a dream

    well i know its only the 1st december but today i got my new monitor, i used to have a CRT 15" and it was time for a change so i looked into an iiyama H4815 19" and well i am so happy with it if anyone else is looking for a new monitor try and check out iiyama they are so nice, the biggest online store from iiyama in the uk is

    They have some real 20-22" beauties at about 200-230GBP (rough conversion) a pop at local Best Buy. However that would make the monitor more valuable than my machine and in any case this 19" Philips CRT is doing its job without any issues.

    230GBP more valuable than your machine That's sacrelige among us gaming nuts...

    Congrats on the new monitor, 15" crt to 19" lcd is a big jump. Enjoy the sprawling real estate

    That's b/c I'm not a gaming nut. Running a:
    P4 1.4
    1GB SD
    20 GB -- win XP and apps
    80 GB -- media/doc storage and Linux
    Some generic ATI 32MB v-card, integrated sound card

    It contains parts from 2 different computers and some newer parts. All in all it's perfect for browsing, IM-ing, playing music, watching the occasional movie and general business use, which is all I need it for.

    I have a 17" viewsonic vp171b LCD. Great monitor. I'm just fine with my 17" as 19" LCDs almost always have the same max/native resolution anyway. Gotta move up to 20" before the resolutions get any high, and, prices get much higher :\

    yeah i am bit stuck with my desk as the max width i can have is roughly 45cm which is a real pain as it would cost me more money to buy a new desk and then a new 20" monitor. Well my pc is not worth that much about a thousend and bit or so. I have
